Michael Campbell

Michael Campbell is a former Chief Information Officer at PGIM Fixed Income, one of the world’s largest asset managers. A computer scientist and entrepreneur with over 20 years of leadership experience in Financial Technology, Michael founded the buy side IT management consulting firm Cosmos Technology in 2019, and has recently completed a long term engagement advising Symphony Communications on operational workflow automation. From 2002 to 2014, Michael was Group Manager of Front Office systems at Western Asset Management in California. Prior to Western, Michael was the CTO and co-founder of Apogean Technology, the first electronic exchange for the trading of emerging market debt. Michael earned an MBA in Finance, with distinction as a Stern Scholar, from New York University, Stern School of Business while working at ING Barings as Head of Application Delivery for Fixed Income. Michael also holds two bachelor’s degrees (Computer Science & Applied Math, Electrical Engineering) from the University of Rhode Island. Michael has advised and held board positions in early stage startups.
