Kat Mello is Chief Operating Officer of the Specialty Solutions Group at Morgan Stanley Investment Management. With nearly three decades in financial services, she builds scalable operating models across alternatives and multi-asset platforms. Previously, she led Strategy and Analytics as well as Governance and Oversight in MSIM’s Office of the COO, supporting Real Assets, Private Credit & Equity, and Solutions & Multi-Asset. Kat co-chairs the Family Employee Engagement Network in Boston, and serves as MSIM’s Columbia University recruiting team captain. She serves on the Board of Philanthropic Advisors at Boston Children’s Hospital and previously sat on the executive committee of the Family Advisory Council at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York. Kat earned a B.A. in political science, cum laude, from Columbia University, and lives in Boston with her husband and children.
