Fausto Ortega leads the Global Middle Office team, which is primarily responsible for post‑trade execution activities, corporate actions and proxy voting operations, and custody relationship and network management. In addition to overseeing daily middle office operations related to portfolio transactions, his team also manages portfolio readiness and supports the onboarding of new client accounts. Before joining American Century Investments in 2020, Fausto spent 16 years at Franklin Templeton, where he led multiple Middle Office teams across a global footprint. He also served on a strategic committee responsible for evaluating and onboarding complex securities. Fausto holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Massachusetts and a MBA from Nova Southeastern University. He is also a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charterholder.
