Dwayne Forde

Dwayne Forde is the co-founder and CTO of Mantle, bringing over 20 years of engineering leadership across startups and enterprise organizations. Previously, he served as Senior Director of Engineering at VMware and Pivotal (via the acquisition of Xtreme Labs), where he led Cloud Foundry development across Toronto, New York, and Denver. Managing teams of over 180 engineers, he championed technical excellence, hiring, and cross-office collaboration while overseeing vast cloud infrastructure projects for leading financial institutions and government agencies.

His expertise spans full-stack development—from frontend technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and backend systems (Go, Ruby on Rails, Java) to mobile platforms (iOS, Android, WebOS, Blackberry)—with extensive experience in architectural design across both bare metal and IaaS environments. Dwayne has driven mobile strategy and highly interactive solutions for prominent global brands, including Ford Motor Company, spanning industries from automotive and entertainment to telecom, finance, and sports.
