Ben Banfield

Ben Banfield is IDS Americas Regional Head of Service Delivery at Invesco. In this role, he leads a team responsible for delivering a superior investment experience through world-class middle and back office services to his internal business partners. These services include trade and custody management, corporate actions, security master, benchmarking, reconciliations, fund accounting, fund tax, client/fund reporting and on boarding, and assurance and oversight of third-party providers. Mr. Banfield joined Invesco in 2017 as global head of implementation and administration for the Global Funds Services team. Prior to his current role, he was global head of administration, initiatives, and risk for the Global Portfolio Services team. Before joining the firm, Mr. Banfield spent over 17 years at State Street and held various positions. He most recently served as managing director in the global services division. Before that, Mr. Banfield functioned as a colead of State Street’s global operations optimization initiative. He was responsible for the design and implementation strategy to re-engineer, optimize, and standardize the global transaction services core business processes. Mr. Banfield also held various leadership roles within State Street’s global operations transaction services unit. Before State Street, he was employed with Royal Bank Securities Services in its transaction management custody services division before transitioning into the training and development department. Since 2000, Mr. Banfield has focused on global custody and strategy/initiative management, including business transformation, relationship management, global joint venture oversight, and data analytics. Mr. Banfield earned a BS degree in biological sciences and a BA degree in family and social relations. He co-chairs the Invesco Houston Management Council (HMC) and the Black Professionals Network (IBPN) and serves on the State Street and BNYM Americas Region Client Advisory Boards (CAB). Mr. Banfield supports various initiatives, such as employment equity, working parents, and diversity sponsorship and mentorship.
